Hoofstar RUNA Wedges – Inserts for the Glue-On Shoe (1–5°) The RUNA wedges are inserts for adjusting the angle of the Hoofstar RUNA glue-on shoe. They are sold individually per shoe. This means that, where professionally appropriate, different heights can be used on the left and right. The wedges are available in sizes 10 to 14 and in increments from 1° to 5°. They are compatible exclusively with the RUNA glue-on shoe. Important information on use Wedges alter hoof mechanics. Please always determine the diagnosis, the appropriate wedge angle and the duration of use together with a veterinarian and a professional hoof care specialist. Wedge height depending on RUNA size The degree value indicates the angle of the wedge. As the RUNA glue-on shoe varies in length depending on the size, the actual wedge height also differs. The table shows the height of the wedge in millimetres at the heel area. Example: With RUNA size 14, the 3° wedge is 9.8 mm high at the rear end. Shupads are the basis for silicones and pads. The pads are supplied as a pack of 2 in the size of 15 x 15.5 cm and can be very easily cut to the correct hoof size with scissors or a nipper. The high quality urethane material ensures that the hoof mechanism is not restricted and keeps the pad in position. Experience shows that Glue-U Shupads are extra durable.
