Application in 4 steps (RUNA glue-on hoof protection)
- Adjust: Adjust the RUNA glue-on hoof protection to the hoof width and fix it in place.
- Roughen: Carefully roughen the hoof wall with the fine side of the rasp so that patina and dirt are removed.
- Degrease: Clean with an alcohol wipe and allow it to evaporate completely. Do not touch the prepared bonding surface afterwards to avoid contamination.
- Glue: Apply superglue in a thin layer to each tab and press the tab evenly with both thumbs for 5–10 sec. The tab is then permanently fixed.

Spikes for the Hoofstar Rally or Hoofstar Swift. We recommend 6 spikes per shoe / hoof. Sold in packs of 12. This means that 24 spikes (2 sets) are needed for a full shoeing. To turn the spikes into the shoe, a spike key is needed. This can be ordered in the "set with spike key". The spike key only needs to be purchased once and can be used again and again. The spike key is inserted into a cordless drill like a bit. It keeps the spikes and screws them in. The pre-drilled holes in the Hoofstar Rally can be used. If more spikes are used than there are holes, they must be pre-drilled approx. 3 mm. Only then can the spikes be inserted. Hoofstar RUNA wedges – insert for the glue-on shoe (therapeutic, 1–5°) Precision wedges for angle adjustment in the RUNA glue-on shoe. The inserts are sold individually per shoe – so you can use different heights on the left and right when this makes therapeutic sense. Developed exclusively for RUNA (not compatible with other Hoofstar glue-on products). Use & benefits Wedges can – in consultation with your veterinarian and a professional hoof care provider – help to fine-tune the hoof angle, temporarily relieve the heels and optimise breakover. This can be useful, for example, for temporary corrections of toe/heel alignment, during rehabilitation or for fine balance adjustment of individual hooves. RUNA Zubehör
Shupads are the basis for silicones and pads. The pads are supplied as a pack of 2 in the size of 15 x 15.5 cm and can be very easily cut to the correct hoof size with scissors or a nipper. The high quality urethane material ensures that the hoof mechanism is not restricted and keeps the pad in position. Experience shows that Glue-U Shupads are extra durable. Each Shupad is equipped with self-closing injection holes. This makes it easy to inject a liquid cushion into the shoe. The Shupads can also be used to create a floating toe by cutting out the toe and inserting it into the Hoofstar Rally.
