The inserts are sold individually per shoe – so you can use different heights on the left and right when this makes therapeutic sense. Developed exclusively for RUNA (not compatible with other Hoofstar glue-on products). Use & benefits Wedges can – in consultation with your veterinarian and a professional hoof care provider – help to fine-tune the hoof angle, temporarily relieve the heels and optimise breakover. Spikes for the Hoofstar Rally or Hoofstar Swift. We recommend 6 spikes per shoe / hoof. Sold in packs of 12. This means that 24 spikes (2 sets) are needed for a full shoeing. To turn the spikes into the shoe, a spike key is needed. This can be ordered in the "set with spike key". The spike key only needs to be purchased once and can be used again and again. The spike key is inserted into a cordless drill like a bit. It keeps the spikes and screws them in. The pre-drilled holes in the Hoofstar Rally can be used. If more spikes are used than there are holes, they must be pre-drilled approx. 3 mm. Only then can the spikes be inserted.
